Arestal Forest
With an altitude of 830m, extending across the municipalities of Sever do Vouga and Vale de Cambra, it forms part of the Gralheira Massif, together with the Serra da Arada and Serra da Freita.
The surrounding landscape is covered with greenery contrasting with the blue of the sea at the coastal lagoon of Aveiro, and can be seen in the horizon on clear days. Still in the Serra do Arestal, we recommend you visit the dolmen, integrated in a group of cliffs popularly known as Furnace of the Moors, whose origin dates back to the Bronze age.
This dolman, facing west on the slopes of the sierra, is an interesting pre-historic momument to visit and is classified as “Property of Public Interest”.
